Exploring The Imagery
The geo-referenced imagery allows measurements to be made, including the physical height of objects, elevation of ground surface, distance (taking into consideration terrain traversed), bearing and height. PictometryŽ Images can be viewed in many GIS applications, with integrated extensions allowing the images to be viewed with existing GIS and mapping data.Using the PictometryŽ EFS application, integrated GIS extensions or web viewer you can add points, lines and polygons to your imagery to annotate places of interest or concern such as the location of crimes, fires and other hazards. Measurements can be recorded. 2D vector data can be overlaid on the oblique imagery giving a new perspective to your GIS data.
